- White gloves for both the bride and bridesmaids.
- Men wear a formal cutaway tux with an ascot and a top hat.
- Button-up shoes or boots.
Here are some suggestions on wedding colors:
- White
- Ivory
- Champagne
- Pale pink or blue
- Gold

- Potpourri
- Buy inexpensive decorative teacups (check at thrift stores and garage sales!) and fill with small candies, then wrap entire thing in tulle.
- Bridesmaids carrying tussie mussies with a small bouquet of flowers in them.
- Use lace fans instead of bouquets.
- All-white roses.
- Queen Victoria wore orange blossoms in her hair for her wedding, so these flowers would be great for a victorian theme.

- Mansion
- English or Rose Garden
- Popular music during the Victorian Era include Handel, Mozart and Pachelbel.
- Use a harp during the ceremony.
- A string quartet during the ceremony or reception during dinner.
- Use lots of lace.
- Tie pretty bows in the back of all the chairs.
- Use plenty of flowers.
- Candles.
- Victorian wedding cake were often fruit cakes with rolled fondant icing or white layers.
- Many Victorian receptions were afternoon tea parties with finger food, grand balls or garden parties.
- Use silver cake charms for your cake - they originated during this era.
- Invitations were formal; white or ivory cardstock. Include some dried rose petals in the envelope for a Victorian touch.
- Have your photographer take several black and white, or sephia, wedding pictures.
- Scatter rose petals on the tables.
